Kingussie High School Is situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park it is one of 28 secondary schools in the Highland Council area with currently around 430 pupils.
Reason for requirement
As part of a £4 Million refurbishment and extension scheme for the school, it was decided that there was a requirement for a demountable flood defence scheme. The school was last flooded in 2014 when the adjacent river Spey burst its banks due to heavy rainfall.
